Just close your eyes and deep inside a little rumour will submit your will to the power that comes from the outside. It is stronger than you'll ever admit but you know that nothing can stop it. Now let the waves wash your fears away and find that you too are part of this greater force.
It is a very nice scene and incredibly tranquil - it looks like the type of spot that would be great to catch a sunset or a sunrise. I'm jealous that you've had the chance to stand here in person!
One thing that you might be interested in is an ND filter - especially a gradual ND filter. In this photo the sky is a little overexposed and some of the rocks are underexposed. An ND filter that cuts the amount of light in the sky would bring out some more blue tones (reducing the white band along the horizon) and add some extra detail / texture to the rocks below. It'll definitely work with your Nikon as well and Cokin makes some very affordable filters. If you find yourself taking photos like this often it might be a great tool to have
It's an honour that you took the time to comment this photo.
This is, in fact, an amazing place and I loved being there. It is in Porto, Portugal!
Thanks for the advice. You do have a point when you say that the sky is a little overexposed and I was a little disappointed when I noticed it was so plain. I don't think I can apply filters to my camera but I can ask to a specialist (perhaps you are one).
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
